Living in our neighborhood is a blast. We have community picnics, Easter Egg hunts, Halloween parties, cook-outs... all kinds of social events. Some are wilder than others. The wildest of all is the annual Hackett White Elephant Party.

Like other white elephant gift exchanges you take a gift that you no longer want. It could be a serious gift, or a gag gift. This year there was the usual assortment of tacky, tawdry, and just plain weird. Including this bear costume.

Last year we took a bottle of cheap wine and came home with a mounted deer head. There was more taxidermy at this year's party. It was wrapped up looking like this:

Thick, black hair was sticking out through the wrapping paper and there was a suspicious sharp tooth as well. I knew that it would be a great addition to the deer head- and a perfect decoration for our front hall!

Meet my buddy- Bradley the Bear.
