YIPEEEEEE! We finally closed on the house. 6 weeks later, but better than never, right?Aren't you happy that you won't have to see DAWN KANE OF HUNT REALTY in Caps and bright red font any longer?
On to the new house. Which you are also probably sick of seeing. Sorry.
The builders leave notes EVERYWHERE in the house. Notes to each other are written on the walls, the floors, and scraps of wood. 
Our fireplace is being built from scratch. We picked out the mantel that we liked, assuming they'd buy the kit and install it. But it looks like they've figured out the measurements themselves and are creating it from scratch.
The house is coming together, and we're so excited! 
The build is not without it's "oops" moments though. This is the ceiling of our garage, all sealed up. The bonus room is directly above the garage, but is walled off for now.
Which will make it pretty difficult to close and lock this window... from the outside.
