Awww, shucks, guys. You're all too nice!

Canandaigua Town Republicans have choices — it’s important to choose correctly.Being the longest tenured member of the Town Board, I have been dismayed at many of the actions the Town Board has taken over the past four years. As the Daily Messenger editorial of Tuesday, Sept. 8, points out: “It’s time for a board renowned for cooperation — not dysfunction.”
I urge all Republicans to first and foremost vote in the primary on Tuesday, Sept. 15, and secondly, vote for Terry Fennelly and Taryn Dobbs Windheim for the Town Board. I also endorse Jeannie Kesel for tax collector. They have integrity, honesty and common sense without personal agendas.

Voters: Sept. 15 is Primary Day for Canandaigua Town Board.1. The last four years have been very costly for the taxpayers, making our town the laughingstock of the towns around us — unconscionable.2. The lack of interest for the taxpayers and the town has been very popular with the newspapers. It has to stop now, and you need to vote on Sept. 15.3.
I recommend to the voting public two level-headed, down-to-earth, common-sense candidates, Taryn Dobbs Windheim and Terry Fennelly for Town Board. Both are very interested in our town, not just themselves and who can make the front page.4. The town coffers lack more than $200,000 due to non-interest in the taxpayers. How much did the airport and Planning Board member Bob Mincer capers cost us?
The only candidate qualified for the supervisor opening is Sam Casella. He knows the operations inside and out of the town and county, has eight years’ experience, and represents all the taxpayers, not the special group.Four years ago, you wanted a change promised to you. Very costly to the town. Now is the time to begin the change. Please, no more. You must vote on Sept. 15.
An interesting side note: By what authority can the chairman of the Republican committee, Yvone Chavez, remove a Taryn Dobbs Windheim sign from the state right-of-way on the side of Route 21 in broad daylight? It happened across from my house at 7:23 a.m. on Sept. 4. The state had resurveyed that property four months ago, and that sign was on state property. Now someone is removing signs of Terry Fennelly from Middle Cheshire Road.
