While we wait for our house to close (and pay another month's mortgage payment) our new house is coming along quickly. The siding is going up, concrete floors and porch are poured, and drywalling is nearly complete.
Our fireplace is also in.
The basement is poured, but the stairs are not yet in. They are actually suspended from the ceiling. A fact which I didn't realize until I was almost all the way down to take a picture. They are NOT steady!
And the nearby park is finished too. Although the neighbors are talking about leveling the slide and rock area once the homeowner's association takes over. Apparently they're worried about the skinned knees and bruises that are going to result from the rustic playground. It's not exactly kid friendly, but I like it. And so does Jacob.
